We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Data Entry & Transcription Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in our databases, as well as converting audio/video recordings into clear, error-free written documents. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain data across various systems and databases
  • Transcribe audio and video recordings into clean, structured written documents
  • Review, proofread, and edit transcriptions for grammar, clarity, and formatting
  • Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Perform regular data quality checks and identify discrepancies
  • Organize, categorize, and manage digital files and documents
  • Follow company guidelines on confidentiality and data handling
  • Meet project deadlines and productivity targets
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress or issues

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in data entry, transcription, clerical work, or administrative support
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 60+ WPM preferred)
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Familiarity with productivity and transcription tools such as:
    • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
    • CRM or database systems
    • Transcription software (e.g., Otter.ai, Express Scribe)
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with medical, legal, or technical transcription
  • Knowledge of data management best practices
  • Multilingual transcription abilities
  • Basic understanding of spreadsheets, formulas, and data formatting
