Job Summary

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement operations. In this role, you will assist in sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. You’ll work closely with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services that meet company standards and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions

Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery schedules

Maintain purchasing records, supplier information, and inventory databases

Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking of essential supplies

Support the evaluation and comparison of supplier quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions

Assist with vendor performance tracking and quality assurance activities

Collaborate with accounting to verify invoices and resolve discrepancies

Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures

Support process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the procurement department

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors

Preferred:

Experience using ERP or procurement software

Knowledge of purchasing procedures, inventory control, or supply chain operations

Familiarity with vendor management and cost analysis

Experience in a B2B or service-oriented environment
