Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users across various departments, addressing hardware, software, and network issues with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with computer management tasks such as deploying updates via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), configuring GPOs (Group Policy Objects), and maintaining Active Directory accounts
  • Support network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and Meraki networking equipment
  • Handle help desk requests efficiently using tools like ServiceNow or Jira, documenting incidents thoroughly and following up until resolution
  • Collaborate on IT infrastructure projects involving Windows Server environments, Linux servers, network administration, and security measures such as firewall configurations and BMC Remedy ticketing system

Requirements

  • Proven experience in providing technical support in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11, Windows Server), macOS, and Linux distributions
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting software issues related to Microsoft Office suite and other common business applications
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN management, VPN setup, firewall configuration, and network security best practices
  • Ability to manage computer hardware components and perform routine maintenance or upgrades effectively
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and remote work setups using VPNs or other remote access tools
  • Analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical problems quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
