About Us

Canibuild answers residential construction’s biggest question: “Can I build here?”

We’re an AI-powered, geospatial feasibility and compliance platform that turns complex zoning rules and site constraints into clear, decision-ready outputs—helping governments, contractors/builders, and property owners move faster with fewer surprises.

Our products bring the same permissibility engine to different workflows:

  • SiteCheck for contractor feasibility and site planning
  • LeadConverter for client website digital showrooms
  • PlanCheck Intake for staff-facing intake/triage and pre-checks
  • PlanCheck Portal for public engagement and guided eligibility experiences

We work across the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, partnering with both industry and government teams to modernize planning, permitting, and pre-construction decisions.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Graphic Designer / Video Editor to serve as the sole creative owner across brand, product marketing, sales, and key company communications. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role—from briefing and concepting through production, iteration, final delivery, and support for amplification/distribution.

This role requires excellent layout design (decks, proposals, one-pagers), plus advanced motion, editing, and explainer/video storytelling for social, YouTube, website, and paid media.

A portfolio and/or work samples are REQUIRED to be considered.

What You’ll Own

1) Creative Ownership & Brand Stewardship

  • Own, maintain, protect, and evolve Canibuild’s brand guidelines across all channels and formats
  • Act as the creative gatekeeper for quality, clarity, and consistency
  • Independently drive projects from brief → concept → execution → delivery, with minimal supervision
  • Establish repeatable workflows, templates, and systems that improve speed without sacrificing quality

2) Layout Design: Presentations, Proposals, Sales & Marketing Assets (Core)

  • Design high-impact sales decks, proposals, and customer-ready presentations (layout polish is essential)
  • Create scannable collateral: one-pagers, case studies, product sheets, workshop/event assets, PDFs
  • Produce digital assets for lifecycle and growth: landing graphics, email/newsletter visuals, testimonial assets, paid media variants
  • Translate complex product and technical concepts into simple, visual stories

3) Video Editing, Motion Graphics & Explainers (Core)

  • Produce explainer videos, product feature videos, testimonials, and short-form social content
  • Build motion-led storytelling: UI animations, kinetic type, product walkthroughs, transitions, sound design, pacing
  • Create marketing-ready outputs for YouTube, LinkedIn, website, paid ads, and partner channels
  • Comfort with “intricate” explainer builds (multi-scene narrative, UI-based animation, b-roll + overlays, tight timing)

4) Speed, Experimentation & AI-Assisted Production

  • Leverage AI tools to increase throughput and creative iteration (without lowering the bar)
  • Balance high-polish brand work with rapid-turn marketing assets based on business needs
  • Version and resize content efficiently across formats and channels

5) Collaboration & Workflow

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and external partners/vendors
  • Take ambiguous inputs and turn them into clear deliverables (strong creative decision-making required)
  • Manage multiple priorities, communicate tradeoffs, and consistently hit deadlines in a fast-moving SaaS environment
