We’re proud to be supporting a leading European aircraft completions and maintenance specialist in their search for an Avionics Engineer to join their growing team in Switzerland.

About the Client

Our client is an established, privately owned aviation engineering company recognised for delivering VIP and VVIP aircraft completions, maintenance, and modifications on some of the world’s most exclusive business jets. Their services cover cabin design, engineering, production, and certification — all performed in-house at a state-of-the-art facility based in Switzerland.

They are renowned for combining technical excellence with craftsmanship, working closely with OEMs, operators, and owners to deliver bespoke cabin interiors and complex electrical and avionics system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical and avionics systems for VIP and large business aircraft.
  • Produce detailed documentation including system schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.
  • Lead modifications and integrations across systems such as:
    • Cabin management and in-flight entertainment
    • Communication and network systems (SATCOM, Wi-Fi, telephony)
    • Lighting, power generation, and distribution
    • Environmental controls, galleys, oxygen, and smoke detection systems
  • Prepare and execute test procedures for ground and flight activities.
  • Support certification and compliance documentation for modifications and new installations.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and certification teams to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities when required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Avionics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical or avionics system design.
  • Strong background in aviation, ideally within modifications or completions.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 21J design principles advantageous.
  • Fluent English; German or French language skills beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
