We are proud to be supporting a leading powertrain manufacturer in their search for a China Sales Manager to join their commercial operations team in Shanghai.
About The Client
Our client is a global leader in engine and powertrain solutions for both on-road and off-road applications. With a strong heritage of innovation and engineering excellence, they supply major OEMs across construction, agriculture, commercial vehicle, and power generation markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and market penetration within the China domestic market.
- Maintain and expand relationships with key on/off-road and power generation customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships with OEMs and dealers.
- Develop sales strategies and guide dealer networks to achieve business targets.
- Prepare sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and pricing policies for assigned applications and OEMs.
- Support brand promotion and awareness through close cooperation with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Aftermarket Services).
- Assist OEMs and dealers in promotional activities such as exhibitions, seminars, and training.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence on competitors, trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the voice of the customer internally, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Manage product stock within the bonded warehouse and monitor inventory levels by product line.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience within China’s on/off-road OEM or automotive industry.
- Proven track record in business development and account management.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage key decision-makers.
- Familiar with powertrain regulations, market updates, and emission standards.
- Willingness to travel frequently across China.
Additional Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
