Job Title: Systems Analyst 3
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days per week, subject to change)

Job description:
The Systems Analyst 3 will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and reports. The role requires strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions using Informatica IICS, Tableau, and PowerBI. The candidate will collaborate with program staff, participate in testing, and ensure solutions meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business objectives, user requirements, and system capabilities to recommend solutions.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using Informatica IICS.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau and PowerBI.
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input/output requirements and reporting formats.
- Write detailed documentation of user needs, program functions, and development steps.
- Test and validate pipelines, dashboards, and reports for accuracy and performance.
- Publish and promote reports across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with HHSC and DIR standards, including background checks and security protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems analysis and application/software development.
- Strong proficiency with Informatica ETL tools (IICS preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI for data visualization.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Snowflake preferred).
- Ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with state government or healthcare analytics projects.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
