Role: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Pre-anesthesia assessment

• Review patient medical history
• Perform physical assessment
• Determine the safest anesthesia plan
• Administer anesthesia
  • General anesthesia
  • Regional anesthesia (spinal or epidural)
  • Local anesthesia and sedation
• Monitor patients during procedures
  • Track vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels
  • Adjust anesthesia levels as needed
• Patient safety management
  • Manage airways and breathing
  • Respond to emergencies during surgery
• Post-anesthesia care
  • Monitor recovery from anesthesia
  • Manage pain and side effects
• Collaboration with healthcare team
  • Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
