Summary
Make a lasting impact providing comprehensive dental care to adult patients in a collaborative, community-based clinic setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, culturally responsive dental services, supporting both routine and emergency care while promoting overall oral health and patient education.
What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and emergency dental services including exams, restorations, and oral surgery
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Review and interpret X-rays and lab studies for accurate diagnosis and care planning
- Administer and prescribe anesthetics and medications as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on oral health and disease prevention
- Refer patients for specialty care and coordinate follow-up visits
- Mentor and support dental residents, hygienists, and assistants as assigned
- Participate in community outreach, in-service training, and quality initiatives
Experience You’ll Need
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program
- Completion of a General Dental Residency or equivalent experience
- Current Hawaii dental license and credentialing eligibility with health plans
- CPR/BLS certification and TB clearance within the past 12 months
- Minimum one year of general dentistry experience preferred
- Proficiency in restorative procedures, oral surgery, and endodontics
- Strong communication and mentoring skills in diverse clinical settings
