Role: Foundry Equipment Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift

JOB DETAILS:

Seeking a Foundry Equipment Maintenance – 2nd Shift at our Syracuse, NY location.

The hourly rate for this position is 39.04 per hour.

WORK Hours > 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Relocation assistance provided within the United States.

Qualifications:

High school diploma

(3) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience

Knowledge of D.C. and A.C. electrical theory; pneumatic and hydraulic theory and practice; plumbing and piping repair theory and practice; machine repair theory and practice involving theory and practice involving close tolerance assembly and fits.

Experience in the use of measuring instruments and devices.

Experience in the sequence and intra-relationship of machines operations including the evaluation of pressure, flow and dimensions in all machine functions.

What you’ll do:

Perform all required duties to diagnose and correct electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical malfunctions on automated foundry production equipment or machinery. 

Check sequence of machine operation, determining type of machine malfunction, making necessary repairs, readjusting and testing instruments and machinery to manufacturer’s standards, within established limitations. 

Duties include the altering, repairing, adjusting and/or piping of water, air, gas, oil, etc. to meet foundry equipment specifications and/or correct machine malfunctions as required. 

May be required to generate shop orders. 

Work from shop orders, blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, verbal information, manufacturer’s specifications, etc.

Detect and correct machine malfunctions and refer questionable cases to proper supervision.

Locate, issue and record a variety of items such as raw materials, parts, tools and equipment from the maintenance tool crib.

Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties.

Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. 

Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations.
