Must Have:

-Must have a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
-Must have a Physical Therapist License in state of Oklahoma.
-Basic Life Support (BLS) or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities:

πŸ₯ 1. Patient Evaluation & Assessment

  • Review medical history and physician referrals
  • Assess strength, range of motion, balance, posture, coordination, and gait
  • Identify functional limitations and pain levels
  • Use standardized assessment tools and tests

πŸ“‹ 2. Treatment Planning & Goal Setting

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis
  • Establish measurable short-term and long-term goals
  • Modify plans based on patient progress and response

πŸ’ͺ 3. Therapeutic Exercise Programs

  • Design and supervise exercises to improve:
    • Strength
    • Flexibility
    • Endurance
  • Progress exercises as patient improves

πŸ‘ 4. Manual Therapy Techniques

  • Perform hands-on treatments such as:
    • Joint mobilization
    • Soft tissue manipulation
    • Stretching techniques

🚢 5. Mobility & Functional Training

  • Train patients in walking (gait training)
  • Assist with transfers (bed, chair, standing)
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Teach use of assistive devices (walkers, crutches, canes)

🦴 6. Pain Management & Rehabilitation

  • Reduce pain using therapeutic techniques and modalities
  • Rehabilitate patients after:
    • Surgery (e.g., joint replacement)
    • Injuries (fractures, sprains)
    • Neurological conditions (stroke, spinal cord injury)

⚠️ 7. Injury Prevention & Education

  • Educate on proper posture and body mechanics
  • Provide ergonomic advice
  • Teach prevention strategies to avoid re-injury

🀝 8. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Work with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate care and discharge planning

  • Instruct patients on home exercise programs
  • Train caregivers on safe patient handling techniques
