Role: Registered Nurse, Med/Surg (RN)
Location: Las Cruces, NM
Position: Full Time + Benefits
Must Have:
-NM RN License.
-Associate's degree in Nursing.
-BLS certification is required.
-ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required within six months of hire.
Nice to Have:
-1 year of Med Surg experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment & Monitoring
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, emotional, and mental)
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition
- Assess pain levels and manage accordingly
- Identify complications early and report to physicians
💊 2. Medication Administration
- Administer medications (oral, IV, injections) safely and accurately
- Monitor for side effects and adverse reactions
- Educate patients about medications and treatments
🛏️ 3. Patient Care & Treatment
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing and mobility
- Manage IV lines, catheters, drains, and feeding tubes
- Prepare patients for surgeries and procedures
📊 4. Documentation & Charting
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Use electronic health record (EHR) systems
👩⚕️ 5. Collaboration with Healthcare Team
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other nurses
- Participate in care planning and patient rounds
- Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care
🧑🏫 6. Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients on disease processes and recovery
- Provide discharge instructions and home care guidance
- Promote health and wellness practices
🚑 7. Emergency Response
- Recognize and respond to emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress)
- Perform basic life support (BLS) or advanced interventions if trained

- Follow infection control protocols
- Ensure patient safety and prevent falls or complications
- Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and ethical guidelines
