Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support nursery staff in daily tasks and activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development, and any incidents.
  • Lead by example and create a positive and inclusive environment for children and staff.
  • Assist in staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to achieve operational goals and targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of early years curriculum and best practices.
