Job Overview

IIQAF Group is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial operations within our hospitality business in the UK. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and compliance, supporting hotels, hospitality services, and operational teams.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, hospitality finance, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and hospitality cost controls
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, HMRC regulations, and tax filings
• Support audits, financial analysis, and management reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software and ERP systems
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve financial efficiency and profitability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accountant, Management Accountant, or Financial Accountant
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or part-qualified)
• Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or service industry
• Knowledge of VAT, HMRC submissions, and statutory reporting
• Experience supporting multi-site or group hospitality operations
