Job Overview:
IIQAF Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk (Healthcare) to support our hospital and healthcare finance operations in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable processing, invoice management, vendor payments, and financial record accuracy, ensuring compliance with healthcare accounting standards and internal controls.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare accounting, hospital finance, or medical administration accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify, code, and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
- Manage vendor accounts, payment schedules, and reconciliations
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs
- Maintain accurate AP records in accounting and ERP systems
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with hospital finance policies and healthcare regulations
- Assist with month-end closing, audits, and financial reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and healthcare-related information
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and healthcare administration teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or Accounts Payable Specialist
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
- Experience working in hospital, healthcare, or medical environments
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience with healthcare finance systems or hospital ERP software
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards
- Experience in audits or healthcare financial compliance
