Job Overview
IIQAF Group is seeking a motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to support clinical teams within our hospital and healthcare services in Sydney. The successful candidate will assist allied health professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting therapy programs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinical operations.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in hospital settings, rehabilitation services, community health, or allied health support roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist allied health professionals (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc.) with therapy sessions and treatment plans
- Support patients with mobility, exercises, and daily therapy activities
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
- Assist with patient transport and positioning as required
- Follow infection control, safety, and healthcare compliance standards
- Provide compassionate and professional patient support
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Allied Health Assistant or Healthcare Assistant
- Strong understanding of patient care and clinical support practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Physical capability to assist patients safely
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, aged care, or community health settings
- Knowledge of NDIS, therapy programs, or clinical documentation
- Experience working within Australian healthcare systems
