Job Summary:
As the Virtual Telehealth Coordinator (Onsite), you'll play a key role in supporting our mobile health and telehealth operations. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating patient flow, assisting with virtual consultations, setting up onsite telehealth stations, and ensuring seamless communication among clinical teams, patients, and our operations staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage onsite telehealth stations and mobile testing units.
- Coordinate telehealth appointments and connect patients with virtual clinicians.
- Welcome, register, and assist patients at our mobile or onsite healthcare locations.
- Collect and input patient data accurately into our EMR/EHR system.
- Support nursing staff during mobile health or diagnostic testing events.
- Communicate effectively with offsite telehealth providers and lab teams.
- Keep track of testing kits and telehealth equipment inventory.
- Ensure we comply with HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Help troubleshoot minor technical issues during virtual consultations.
- Prepare daily reports and keep the Clinical Operations Manager updated on status.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is a must; we’d love to see an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, medical assisting, or a related field if you have it.
- You should have 1 to 2 years of experience in healthcare coordination, telehealth support, or medical office operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- You’ll need to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
- Being comfortable with computer systems, tablets, and telehealth software platforms is key.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data entry are a must.
- Flexibility to travel to assigned onsite or mobile clinic locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- If you have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), CNA, or a similar healthcare credential, that’s a plus!
- Experience supporting mobile health or community testing programs is highly valued.
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish or French are preferred.
Work Environment:
- This is an onsite role at designated clinics, schools, or mobile health event locations.
- Be prepared for some moderate travel and the occasional weekend assignment.
- You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on patient safety and delivering quality service.
