About InstaLILY

InstaLILY builds AI teammates for the physical-goods economy — industrial distribution, healthcare, supply chain, manufacturing, and automotive. Our model is simple: one company brain, many teammates. We build company-specific AI-powered brains called InstaBrains. Built on small, specialized language models (SLMs), they codify the customer’s knowledge and decisions, like their parts, jobs, and pricing. On top of it, InstaWorkers act as AI teammates inside the tools customers already use, completing the sales, service, and operations work that drives the business.

Backed by Insight Partners ($25M Series A) and supported by the Google, NVIDIA, and Microsoft ecosystems, we are one of the fastest-growing AI startups in the country. Our team has already driven over $200M in incremental revenue for customers to date. InstaLILY’s architecture has been featured in Google DeepMind’s case study showcase.

We’re driven by three core principles—Customers, Culture, and Code—what we call The Three C’s.

The Role

You’ll be our lead writer, producing the content that drives InstaLILY’s voice in the world. Our newsletters, long-form thought leadership, case studies, and social posts all flow through you. You’ll work closely with our CEO Amit and other leaders who will give direct, detailed feedback. You’re proactive: proposing topics and angles, shaping what we should be writing about, not just executing on assignments. You lead with your own voice and judgment, using AI in service of your thinking rather than as a replacement for it. You’ll also have direct influence on what content InstaLILY produces and how.

Experimentation is core to the role. You form sharp hypotheses about what will move the needle — content angles, headlines, channel mix, distribution timing — and ship tests fast. You measure what worked, double down on the wins, and kill what didn’t. Writing is the craft; impact is the goal.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead writing: Write InstaLILY's most visible content — LinkedIn and X posts that amplify Amit's, Sumo's, and InstaLILY's POVs; long-form thought leadership on AI agents, enterprise AI, and the future of the industries we serve (industrial distribution, construction, manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive, field services, and related sectors); newsletters that land with different audiences (PE investors and operators); case studies and customer stories (like our SRS Distribution piece); press releases; landing page copy; product marketing copy; and sales enablement materials.
  • CEO and leadership collaboration: Work directly with our CEO Amit and cross-functional leaders to translate strategic POV into writing. Iterate fast and apply feedback with judgment.
  • Research: Research the AI landscape and the industries we serve. Translate complex technical and industry concepts for different audiences (operators, executives, investors).
  • Events content: Contribute content for our events program: hosted summits, fireside chats, mixers, Tech Week programming, Women in AI gatherings, and conference and expo presence.
  • Run experiments: Form clear hypotheses about what will drive traffic, engagement, or pipeline. Ship tests fast, watch the data, double down on what works, kill what doesn’t.
  • Own distribution: Drive reach through SEO, social amplification, syndication, and lifecycle email.
  • Big-picture thinking: Think strategically about the writing — how each piece builds InstaLILY’s presence over time, what’s working across channels, what we should be saying more (or less) of.

What You’ll Need

  • 4–6 years of writing experience: As a copywriter, content marketer, journalist, or technical writer.
  • Demonstrated writing track record: Across formats — long-form, social, editorial. Show us what you’ve shipped.
  • Strong writing chops: Clean, direct, specific, no filler.
  • Current on the AI and tech landscape: You live where the discourse happens — Substack, X, serious tech journalism, AI research commentary, founder discourse online. You track what’s shipping across AI labs, startups, and the broader ecosystem.
  • AI-native with judgment: Daily user of Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools, with personal workflows for research, drafting, and editing. You know when AI sharpens the work and when it produces slop. The voice in the final piece is yours, not the model’s.
  • Deeply curious: You ask good questions, pull on threads until you understand things fully, read and research widely beyond the immediate task, and treat learning as part of the craft.
  • Technical fluency: Comfortable writing about AI agents, enterprise systems, and operational industries (distribution, manufacturing, field services) with accuracy.
  • Experimental mindset: You think in hypotheses, not deliverables. You form clear bets (“if we test X, Y will move”), ship them quickly, and learn from results — wins or misses. You’re comfortable being wrong; the test is the point.
  • Numerical fluency: Comfortable with content analytics (Google Analytics, LinkedIn, HubSpot). Bonus for experience with A/B testing or experimentation platforms.
  • Takes feedback well: You absorb direct, iterative notes from leaders across the team and apply the learning to future work, not just the immediate piece.
  • Start date: Targeting a May start date.
  • Writing samples: Please include 2–3 with your application (links preferred). Bonus for samples that cover AI, enterprise tech, or technical subjects written for non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Get

  • Real traction: The product works and customers are live — this isn’t a bet on an unproven thesis.
  • AI-native: In how we build, how we work, and what we sell.
  • Visibility: Your writing sits at the center of how the world sees InstaLILY — what you do here will be visible quickly.
  • Stage: Early enough to shape how the company scales.
  • Culture: Offices in New York, San Francisco, and London — sharp, low-ego team that keeps raising the bar.
  • Growth: The learning curve is steep.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Equity: Generous stock options awards and refreshers for top performers
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Well-being stipend, In-office lunch reimbursement, PTO and 10 US Federal Holidays, and more!
