English Language Tutor in Lagos

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Tutor to join our vibrant learning community in Lagos. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping students of various backgrounds improve their English language skills, enhancing their academic performance and boosting their confidence. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring sessions, focusing on reading, writing, and listening and speaking skills.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
• Encourage and motivate students to participate actively in their learning journey.
• Provide a supportive learning environment that fosters language discovery and exploration.
• Stay updated on best practices in language education and integrate new methodologies into teaching.
• Tutor exam preparatory courses such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, GRE, GMAT, OET, CELPIP, SELT and SAT.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English language, Linguistics or a related field.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage
• 5 -6 years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Computer skills
• Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and communication strategies
• Familiarity with online teaching tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meets
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different class modes i.e online or physical
