We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional project teams responsible for delivering and implementing major capital projects across multiple sites. They will ensure sustainable growth by driving operational excellence through the full project life cycle, from conceptual design to deployment. They must possess strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements within the manufacturing and production industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full life cycle of major capital projects—from conceptual design and cost estimation through implementation and deployment.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with overall organizational strategy.
- Oversee all aspects of project scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
- Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, vendor selection processes, and proposal evaluations.
- Define detailed Statements of Work (SOW) and technical specifications for all required goods and services.
- Track and manage interdependencies between technology, operations, and business functions.
- Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, including Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, MOCs, PSSRs, LOPA, and SIS implementation.
- Report accurately on project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership.
- Contribute to establishing best practices, policies, templates, and tools for capital project management across the organization.
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget parameters.
- Drive project completion by coordinating site resources and external contractors.
- Monitor project performance metrics to ensure continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 15–20 years of proven experience in project management for large-scale capital projects (exceeding $30M).
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Deep understanding of project and program management principles.
- Expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent technical and data analysis abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to learn new chemistries and processes quickly.
- Travel up to 50% may be required.
