About Us

Luro Health is a mission-driven telehealth organization committed to combating obesity among Medicare and Medicaid patients. By focusing on innovative, evidence-informed programs and personalized virtual care, we aim to break down barriers to healthcare access and improve health outcomes for some of our most vulnerable communities. Our work is fueled by a deep passion for transforming lives through collaboration, technology, and a holistic approach to patient wellness.

As an early-stage but rapidly growing health tech start-up, we are building a world-class team that combines clinical expertise, operational excellence, and a deep passion for equity in healthcare.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Head of Operations to build, optimize, and lead Luro Health’s operational backbone. As our first dedicated operations hire, this role is highly execution-driven: you will design and implement processes, systems, and workflows while laying the foundation for scale.

This is both a leadership and doer role owning operational excellence at a granular level while also partnering cross-functionally to drive national expansion.

You will lead critical functions including clinic launches, staffing models, EHR and technology integrations, compliance, and partner success. The role reports to the COO and will work closely with Product, Clinical, Finance, and Partner teams to ensure seamless execution of our virtual care model across health centers nationwide.

What you’ll do

The Head of Operations will build and support the systems that enable Luro Health to scale with operational excellence

  • Own clinic launch operations, including staffing, workflows, compliance, and EHR integrations
  • Design playbooks, SOPs, and processes that ensure consistency, repeatability, and efficiency across centers
  • Lead workforce management including recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and utilization guardrails
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to translate frontline workflows into scalable technology and automation
  • Monitor vendor contracts, cost structures, compliance guardrails, and operational KPIs tied to retention, margin, and provider utilization
  • Serve as an escalation point for partner clinics, resolving issues and continuously improving patient, provider, and partner experience
  • Your key areas of focus include: Operational Strategy & Execution; Clinic Launches & Workforce Management; Product & Technology Integration; Compliance & Financial Oversight; Partner Success & Continuous Improvement.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years in operations leadership, with at least 3 years in healthcare or health tech

  • Experience building workflows and scaling systems in a start-up or high-growth environment
  • Strong background in staffing models, credentialing, and multi-site operational management
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows, EHR systems, and regulatory environments such as Medicaid and Medicare
  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution as a doer, not only a manager
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Track record of collaborating with product and engineering teams to optimize healthcare delivery
  • Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers or Community Health Centers is helpful but not required

Schedule and Compensation

Compensation: Competitive salary and equity, commensurate with experience

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and professional development support

Hours: Full-time with flexibility in scheduling

Location: Remote-first, with periodic travel to partner sites and team gatherings

Why Join Us

Mission Impact: Transform obesity care for underserved Medicaid and Medicare patients

High Growth: Build the operational backbone at the ground level of a rapidly scaling health tech start-up

Innovation: Partner with product and engineering to create tech-enabled care at scale

Professional Growth: Gain exposure to building systems for national expansion and value-based care
