Maine Community Solar is looking for a dedicated Community Solar Sales Manager to join our team in Portland. This full-time, hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the rapidly growing renewables and environment sector. As we expand our community solar initiatives, we need a passionate individual who can lead our sales efforts and drive customer engagement.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that promote our community solar projects. You will work closely with local communities, customers, and stakeholders to educate them about the benefits of solar energy and how they can participate in our programs. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving our sales goals and advancing our mission to provide sustainable energy solutions.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70 to $95 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for professional development in the renewables sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve community solar project goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and community stakeholders
  • Conduct outreach and educational presentations about community solar benefits
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional materials
  • Analyze market trends and adjust sales tactics accordingly
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
  • Lead a team of sales representatives and provide mentorship
  • Track and report on sales metrics and progress towards goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the renewable energy sector or related field
  • Strong understanding of community solar programs and benefits
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales tracking tools
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability initiatives
