Maine Community Solar is looking for an enthusiastic Community Solar Sales Representative to join our team in Portland. This full-time, hybrid position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy solutions in the community. As a part of the Renewables/Environment industry, our mission is to make solar energy accessible to everyone.

In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting our community solar programs, educating potential customers about the benefits of solar energy, and helping them understand how they can participate in our initiatives. Your contributions will directly support our goal of creating a sustainable future while offering you the chance to grow in a rapidly evolving sector. We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $32 to $45, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers through various outreach methods
  • Educate clients on community solar benefits and program details
  • Conduct presentations and webinars to promote solar initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders
  • Assist customers with enrollment in community solar programs
  • Track leads and manage customer relationships using CRM software
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team for improvement of outreach strategies
  • Stay informed about industry trends and local solar policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus
