Job title: Fiber Optic OSP/ISP Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary:$80,000 - $110,000/year

What You Will Be Doing

Design & Drafting (Core Technical Function)

Translate field data into AutoCAD & GIS deliverables

Produce as-built fiber layouts, splice schematics & pathway profiles

Maintain and update GIS/CAD databases

Field Work (Hands-On OSP Execution)

OSP design & construction oversight

Fiber splicing, troubleshooting & inspections

Route rides/walks to verify conduit, handholes, aerial placements
Exposure to underground, aerial & confined space environments

Permitting & ROW (Growth Area)

Easement documentation

Right-of-way coordination

Permitting and user agreements

Client Engagement

Serve as primary field/office contact

Communicate progress & anticipate needs

Ensure client satisfaction

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with PMs, engineers, environmental teams

Support projects from kickoff to closeout

Continuous Improvement

Identify process improvements

Mentor junior staff

Experience You Will Need

7+ years OSP Fiber experience

Some ISP exposure

Strong Data Center Fiber Network experience

AutoCAD proficiency (non-negotiable)

GIS proficiency (ArcGIS preferred)

Field verification & construction oversight experience
Fiber testing, troubleshooting & auditing experience

Permitting / ROW exposure

Strong client-facing communication

OSHA certified

Willingness to travel 35–40%
