Salary:$65,000 - $80,000/year
What you will be doing:
- Prepare, file and coordinate service of legal documents.
- Schedule and manage busy calendars of multiple attorneys.
- Organize and maintain litigation case files.
- Communicate with courts, clients and attorneys.
- Answer phone calls to the firm and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Serve as primary paralegal to multiple senior litigation attorneys, responsible for all paralegal work on those attorneys’ cases.
- Finalize, format, file and serve documents prepared by attorneys.
- Prepare tables of contents and authorities for and cite-check legal documents.
- E-file documents and prepare courtesy copies for federal and state courts and ADR tribunals.
- Arrange depositions, including ordering court reporters, reserving locations, and confirming counsel and witness availability.
- Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, including preparing exhibits and binders.
- Serve and send legal documents by mail, email, fax, and process server.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars, calculate and calendar all deadlines, deposition dates, court deadlines, and meetings.
- Prepare simple legal documents using firm templates, including subpoenas and discovery demands.
- Compile and organize documents for client meetings, mediations, arbitrations, court conferences, depositions, and trials.
- Maintain physical legal files, including originals.
- Maintain and organize electronic case files, ensuring all documents are filed, served, and collected appropriately.
- Assist with document productions, including organization and Bates stamping.
- Run conflict checks as needed.
- Answer phone for firm’s main line as needed.
- Process, scan and distribute the firm’s mail as needed.
Experience you will need:
- 2+ years prior litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
- Extensive experience e-filing cases in federal courts is a definite plus.
- Experience e-filing in New York and New Jersey state courts; e-filing in Pennsylvania state courts is a plus.
- Experience using law firm CRM systems, document management systems, and time entry systems; NetDocs and Zola Suite/Caret experience is a plus.
- Westlaw searches and cite-checking experience.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and complete multiple projects for different supervisors on a timely basis.

- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
