We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Interface Developer to design and implement data exchange interfaces connecting hospitals, clinics, labs, and public health systems. This is a hands-on role focused on HL7, CDA, and FHIR integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine, supporting critical interoperability and data modernization initiatives.
 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy HL7 v2.x, CDA, and FHIR interfaces using Rhapsody.
• Configure and manage Rhapsody channels, routes, and transformations.
• Build and support public health interfaces (eCR, ELR, immunization, syndromic surveillance).
• Assist in FHIR-based integration initiatives and future interoperability frameworks.
• Support migration of Rhapsody from on-prem to cloud environments.
• Monitor interface performance, data validation, and error handling.
• Troubleshoot interface issues including message parsing, routing, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, and public health stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data standards.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Health Informatics, or related field.
• Rhapsody Integration Engine Certification.
• 2+ years of experience with HL7 v2.x, CDA, or FHIR.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience with secure data exchange and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH).
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with public health reporting systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with HL7 to FHIR migration or hybrid architectures.
• Knowledge of TEFCA, USCDI, or other interoperability frameworks.
