We are seeking 25 Election System Volume Test Assistants to support a two-day voting system volume test. This performance test is designed to verify that the voting system can accurately and reliably process a high number of ballots, transactions, and system interactions within a compressed timeframe that simulates peak election activity. Your contributions will directly impact the democratic process by assisting in the systematic testing and verification of election technologies. As a key player in our team, you will help foster a transparent and fair electoral process.
In this role, you will help simulate high-volume election conditions by handling test ballots, running transactions through the system, monitoring system behavior, and accurately recording test results under the direction of a test lead.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, organizing, and tracking test ballots and related materials.
- Run high-volume batches of test ballots and transactions through the voting system according to established procedures.
- Monitor system behavior during testing and promptly report any irregularities, errors, or system messages to the test lead.
- Record and document test results, including counts, system responses, and test conditions, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Follow all test protocols, checklists, and instructions to ensure consistency and integrity of test inputs.
- Maintain clear and accurate logs, labels, and tracking sheets for all test materials.
- Handle all materials in a secure and confidential manner, preserving the integrity of the testing process.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet test volume targets within the scheduled timeframe.
- Comply with all onsite rules, including safety, security, and confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and working in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Ability to stand, sit, and move between workstations for extended periods during the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to both full days of the assignment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in data entry, quality control, clerical work, warehousing, administrative support, or test environments.
- Experience working in election-related, government, or technical environments is a plus (but not required).
- Basic comfort using computers or scanning equipment.
