Role Overview

The Assistant Territory Manager will be responsible for promoting learning solutions across schools in the assigned territory, driving sales growth, and establishing the brand as a leading education publisher. The role involves developing strong school relationships, implementing effective sales strategies, and ensuring market expansion in Rajkot and nearby regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and establish print and online learning products in schools across the territory.
  • Build and maintain an updated school database and strengthen educator relationships.
  • Drive business growth by reaching 300–400 schools in the first year.
  • Appoint and manage distributors for efficient product supply to schools and retailers.
  • Collect market feedback and share insights with the editorial and marketing teams.
  • Facilitate school visits, workshops, and marketing initiatives to increase product adoption.
  • Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare sales plans, budgets, progress reports, and analyze customer feedback.
  • Explore new business opportunities in Tier II and Tier III towns.
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and training to junior sales team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws/guidelines.

Key Result Areas

  • Achievement of sales and collection targets.
  • Growth of market share in the assigned territory.
  • Timely communication of market insights to marketing and editorial teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 2–4 years of sales experience, preferably in publishing, or education.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and willing to travel extensively within the territory.
