NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for an Executive Chef at our upscale Restaurant and Events Center in Monterey Park. This full-time, on-site position offers an incredible opportunity to lead our culinary team and create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
As the Executive Chef, you will oversee the kitchen operations, menu development, and food presentation while ensuring the highest quality standards for our events and restaurant. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in establishing our brand as a premier dining destination, driving culinary innovation, and maintaining a vibrant and creative kitchen environment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $125,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package aimed at promoting personal and professional growth in an engaging culinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptional dishes
- Design and curate innovative menus for both the restaurant and events
- Ensure all food prepared meets quality standards and presentation
- Manage food inventory and oversee purchasing and sourcing
- Conduct regular training and mentorship for kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with event planners to customize menus for special occasions
- Stay updated on culinary trends and introduce new concepts
- Handle kitchen budgets and manage labor costs effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods and cuisines
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to create innovative and seasonal menus
- Familiarity with kitchen management software and tools
- Certifications in culinary arts are a plus
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
