What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leading the Kitchen Team
- Inspire, coach, and develop back-of-house team members
- Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Support training and ongoing skill development for cooks and prep staff
- Help build a culture where communication, respect, and consistency matter
Driving Day-to-Day Excellence
- Oversee food prep, cooking, plating, and overall kitchen flow
- Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and delivered in a timely manner
- Maintain strong execution of recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and operating efficiently
Protecting Quality and Standards
- Champion high standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness practices
- Conduct regular line checks and inspections to ensure operational consistency
- Address issues quickly and reinforce best practices with the team
Managing Costs and Efficiency
- Oversee inventory levels and support smart ordering practices
- Control waste, monitor product usage, and maintain portion discipline
- Partner with leadership on cost awareness, budgeting, and overall kitchen performance
- Help improve systems and workflows that support a more efficient operation
Supporting a Strong Workplace
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace procedures
- Maintain required records, documentation, and operational standards
- Lead by example in professionalism, urgency, and reliability
- Foster a kitchen environment where people can grow and succeed
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of Kitchen Manager experience in a full-service casual dining environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food execution, and team leadership
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and back-of-house standards
- Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Experience with inventory, waste control, and cost management
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
