About the Role
As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll partner with the General Manager to help lead the restaurant’s daily operations, support the team, and drive a culture rooted in hospitality, teamwork, and consistency. You’ll be instrumental in creating an environment where both guests and team members have a great experience.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leading People and Culture
- Help recruit, train, coach, and develop a strong restaurant team
- Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven work environment
- Lead by example and help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality
- Support team engagement, morale, and ongoing development
Supporting Daily Operations
- Assist in overseeing front- and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily execution
- Help maintain high standards in service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
- Monitor shift performance and provide real-time coaching and support
- Ensure the restaurant is operating efficiently during all service periods
Guest Experience and Service Standards
- Help deliver a welcoming, consistent, and memorable guest experience
- Address guest concerns professionally and with urgency
- Support and reinforce service standards that align with a hospitality-driven culture
- Be visible on the floor and actively engaged with both guests and team members
Financial and Operational Performance
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and daily operational planning
- Help control costs through smart decision-making, waste reduction, and attention to detail
- Support inventory practices, ordering, and overall restaurant efficiency
- Partner with leadership to help drive sales, profitability, and operational consistency
Compliance and Restaurant Standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both guests and staff
- Support accurate documentation, shift communication, and operational follow-through
- Help uphold standards with consistency and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years of leadership experience in a full-service casual dining restaurant
- Experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and team development
- Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and guest-focused
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Passion for hospitality, culture-building, and developing people
