On behalf of our partner network, we're recruiting a Financial Analyst in New York.

Financial Analyst - New York

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you'll be responsible for:

The selected candidate for the Financial Analyst role will drive financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across the organization. You will translate financial data into actionable business insights and support leadership in resource allocation and growth initiatives. You will:

  • Lead financial planning and analysis—budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking
  • Build financial models that support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and scenario planning
  • Analyze business performance metrics and surface insights that drive operational and strategic decisions
  • Partner with business leaders across functions to understand drivers of financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations that communicate financial results, trends, and recommendations
  • Support strategic projects—M&A analysis, pricing strategy, market sizing, or business case development
  • Design and refine financial processes, reporting frameworks, and dashboards that improve visibility and efficiency

You'll be a strong match if you have:

  • 1-3+ years in consulting (MBB, Big 4, or boutique firms) with exposure to financial analysis, business case development, or valuation work
  • Strong financial modeling skills (i.e., you build sophisticated models in Excel and can stress-test assumptions and scenarios)
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting
  • The ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for non-finance stakeholders
  • Analytical rigor combined with business judgment (i.e., you know when precision matters and when directional insight is sufficient)
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools (ERP systems, BI platforms, SQL, or Python is a plus)

If you've built your career in consulting and are ready to transition into a high-impact financial analyst role in industry, multiple companies in our network are likely looking for you.
