We are looking for a tester that will ensure product quality is of utmost importance.

Position Overview:

This isn't just another tester role; this is a chance to be a founding quality assurance tester for a company to ensure quality product is put in front of the customers. We are looking for a skilled tester to work in our quality team. You will have unparalleled impact, making critical decisions and testing application that will form the backbone of our application and services. You will work independently, translating vision and requirements into robust, scalable software. A key part of our strategy is using AI tools to accelerate our testing, and you will be central to implementing and championing this modern approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (both manual and automated) to ensure product quality.
• Perform thorough testing of our frontend web applications, covering functional, regression, compatibility, and UI/UX aspects.
• Conduct rigorous backend testing of our microservices and APIs (REST) to validate data integrity, performance, and business logic.
• Conduct rigorous cloud infrastructure testing to validate security, scalability and resilience of cloud services.
• Identify, record, and track bugs meticulously using our bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for our web applications and APIs using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured.
• Work closely with developers and product managers in an Agile environment to understand requirements and provide clear feedback.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle for new features, from design to deployment.
• Participate in release planning and regression testing to ensure smooth production launches

Experience: While we value degrees, your portfolio and practical experience are what matter most for this level of autonomy.

• 4-6 years of experience
• A demonstrated history of testing and shipping complex application and backend services.
• Demonstrable experience in testing cloud, web-based applications and backend services/APIs.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) is mandatory.
• Proven experience in writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Experience working in a dynamic product-based company is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills:

• Testing Tools: Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman) and automation frameworks (Selenium).
• Technical: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, software testing life cycle (STLC), and bug life cycle.
• Database: Basic understanding of SQL and experience with database testing (e.g., validating data in MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking software (JIRA) and version control (GitHub).
