Key Responsibilities

Safety and Security Monitoring

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of premises
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points
• Identify and report suspicious activities, hazards, or security breaches
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and client-specific rules

Access Control

• Control entry and exit points by verifying identification and credentials
• Maintain visitor logs and issue access passes or badges
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
• Screen visitors, vendors, and contractors as required

Incident Response

• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
• De-escalate conflicts and manage disturbances professionally
• Contact emergency services (police, fire, medical) when necessary
• Provide first response support until appropriate authorities arrive

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
• Document observations, actions taken, and any irregularities
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, inspections, and security checks
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel

Customer Service

• Provide courteous assistance to clients, employees, and visitors
• Answer questions and provide directions when needed

Emergency Preparedness

• Follow established emergency procedures and protocols
• Assist with evacuations, lockdowns, and safety drills

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid security guard license (as required by state or local regulations)
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Basic computer skills for report writing and system monitoring
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills and Experience
