The Area Operations Manager is accountable for the oversight of daily operations and the supervision of Radiological Technologists and/or Sonographers within their designated region, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role encompasses responsibilities related to patient care, patient flow, and maintaining quality standards that meet or exceed company expectations.

**Tasks and Responsibilities:**

- Plan and implement staffing schedules within the assigned region.
- Monitor performance metrics and forecast service needs for effective personnel management, justification of capital equipment, and departmental profit and loss management.
- Review and modify policies to ensure compliance with relevant State Regulations and Laws.
- Adhere to all applicable Radiation and Health Department regulations in each State with personnel.
- Provide direct supervision of all staff within the designated region.
- Engage in clinical interactions related to the performance of studies.
- Facilitate communication between management and technologists to ensure the delivery of quality studies under the guidance of the radiologist.
- Conduct staff evaluations at intervals of 90 days and annually.
- Assess employee needs and make recommendations to management on their behalf.
- Oversee image quality reviews.
- Order supplies and equipment and coordinate repairs within the designated region.
- Maintain an inventory of equipment assigned to the designated region.
- Orient new employees to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Assist technologists in addressing technical challenges.
- Identify and mitigate problematic behaviors through ongoing coaching and counseling.
- Review technologist payroll on a timely basis to ensure productivity and resource management in alignment with company metrics.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch to maintain consistent patient care and turnaround times.
- Develop and implement strategies consistent with the overall objectives and requirements of the company.
- Perform X-rays and ultrasounds as necessary to sustain and improve service levels in designated areas.
- Manage scheduling of vehicles and equipment for maintenance to ensure consistent reliability.
- Monitor and retain dosimetry reports in Radiology.
- Continuously develop and supervise all technologist clinical credentialing, training, and quality of service.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations for Radiology Services.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and other operational requirements related to the care and maintenance of equipment and vehicles, and promptly report and document accidents or incidents.
- Maintain all required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health prerequisites, and operational mandates.
- Possess a valid driver’s license in the applicable State, ensuring it remains in good standing at all times.

**Skills and Experience:**

- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the mobile field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Must possess and maintain valid State Radiologic Technologist/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certifications.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the service area is required.
