**Summary:** The ATP/CTP Instructor teaches flight training using a virtual procedures trainer (VPT), flight simulator, and in a classroom. This training helps pilots move from the knowledge of a commercial pilot to what is needed for an ATP Certificate. The instructor leads both ground training and flight training sessions that cover how airplanes work, including how to handle regular, unusual, and emergency situations.

**Key Duties:**
- Teach ground training classes in the classroom, VPT, and/or flight simulator to help pilots understand the air carrier concepts in a practical way.
- Use knowledge of flying and good teaching methods to train flight crews in class.
- Suggest improvements for the ATP CTP training program and create better teaching materials.
- Get the training area ready, ensure all presentation equipment works, and have all necessary reference materials available.
- Check that the information used by training pilots is correct, including computer-based training, aircraft manuals, and other materials given to them.

**Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required:**

Must be typed in ERJ 175

Local to Seattle 


- 5 years of experience in the aviation industry.
- 2 years of experience as a pilot for a Part 121 air carrier.
- Must have an ATP certificate with a specific type rating.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or have 2 more years of training/experience instead of a degree.
- Knowledge of Crew Resource Management (CRM) concepts.
- Ability to work well with others in the department.
- Able to lead discussions and present technical and non-technical information enthusiastically and effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have: 2 years of 121 flying in ERJ 170/190

**Preferred:**
- Experience flying fixed-wing and multi-engine airplanes.
