**Job-Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:**

The responsibilities associated with this role may encompass, but are not limited to, the following duties:

- Prepare examination rooms adequately prior to the arrival of patients. 

- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed by supervisory staff.

- Measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, respiration rate, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry readings.

- Obtain and document patients' current medical and drug histories, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the appropriate forms. - Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by healthcare professionals.

- Ensure that examination room stock levels are maintained and conduct routine maintenance of these facilities.

- Complete laboratory and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies and procedures. 

- Enter demographic data into the electronic health record system upon patient check-in, including diagnosis and discharge time upon patient release.

**Position: Certified Medical Assistant

 – Audiology Clinic**

Responsibilities include assisting the audiologist with hearing aid evaluations, troubleshooting hearing aid issues, conducting listening checks, making ear mold impressions, and performing preliminary hearing screenings.

**Schedule:**

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 0600 to 1600 hours, with shifts of 8, 9, or 10 hours, contingent upon departmental needs. There are no requirements for work on holidays or weekends.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- **Degree:** Certificate. - 

**Education:** Graduation from a medical assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, or as an alternative to the aforementioned educational requirements, a graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), or the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).

- **Experience:** A minimum of six months of experience as a Medical Assistant post-graduation. - **Certification:** The candidate must be a Certified Medical Assistant, certified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or through another accredited certifying program. - 

**Security:** The candidate must possess the ability to pass a government background check or security clearance. -

 **Life Support Certification:** Possession of a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC) is required.
