**Job Description:**

 

The position requires participation in an on-call schedule, which includes a quarterly weekend call obligation assigned randomly among team members using a name generator. 

This call schedule typically spans Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with designated roles as primary and secondary backup. It is important to note that staff will be exempted from call duties during weekends that coincide with their planned time off (PTO).

In terms of weekday call duties, there is currently an average expectation of one call shift, which occurs Monday through Thursday from 7 PM to 7 AM, approximately every six weeks. 

The work schedule encompasses a variety of shift lengths, including 8, 10, 12, 16, and 24-hour shifts.

The team manages a diverse array of procedures, covering both general and complex cases, such as kidney transplants, thoracic surgeries, orthopedic procedures (including trauma), bariatric surgeries, podiatric interventions, gynecological surgeries, neurosurgery, MRI/CT imaging, cardiac and vascular surgeries, obstetrical procedures, and regional anesthesia blocks.

The team comprises professional, confident, and approachable providers. While prior experience is preferred, new graduates will also be considered.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Board Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) by the start date 

– REQUIRED - State licensure in Michigan (or willingness to obtain) 

 

– REQUIRED - DEA verbal confirmation (or willingness to obtain) 

– REQUIRED - Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain) 

– REQUIRED

**Certification Requirements:**

- ACLS - BLS - DEA - NBCRNA

**State License Requirements:**

- Michigan
