**Job Responsibilities:** The work you will do may include some or all of the following tasks:
- Follow the rules set by your state licensing group, the American Psychological Association, and the guidelines of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Perform psychological evaluations using information from interviews, psychological tests, and other sources when needed.
- Identify mental health issues using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders from the American Psychiatric Association.
- Provide therapy for individuals and groups; support patients dealing with medical and surgical problems. - Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand the patient’s issues and how they are functioning.
**Work Schedule:** The usual work hours are Monday to Friday, 8.5 or 9 hours each day between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. You will have a half-hour or full hour for lunch. There are no weekend shifts, on-call hours, or holiday work!
**Qualifications:**
**Minimum Requirements:**
- **Education:** You need a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a program recognized by the American Psychological Association. -
**Internship/Training:** You must have completed an internship in psychology that is accredited by the American Psychological Association. -
**Experience:** You need at least 1 year of experience working as a licensed clinical psychologist. -
**License:** You must have an active license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any state.
- **Life Support Certification:
** You need to have a current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- **Security:** You must be able to pass a background check for government work.
