**Job Specific Responsibilities:**
The scope of work encompasses a range of professional activities, including but not limited to:
- Practicing in alignment with state licensing regulations and adhering to the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, along with maintaining Military Treatment Facility (MTF) privileges.
- Executing comprehensive psychological evaluations that incorporate data from clinical interviews, standardized psychological assessments, and relevant collateral information.
- Formulating psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the criteria established in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
- Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals and groups, particularly assisting medical and surgical patients in navigating their psychological responses to health challenges.
- Contributing to patient rehabilitation processes.
- Actively participating in mandatory meetings during standard duty hours, which includes professional staff conferences, Quality Improvement meetings, and other regulatory or command-directed engagements, as specified by the Mental Health Flight Commander or their delegate.
- Conducting applied research and clinical investigations within the realm of clinical and behavioral health psychology.
- Implementing a broad range of psychological procedures, including diagnostic interviews, behavioral assessments, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities, to evaluate and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders. The following competencies are highly advantageous:
* Proficiency in individual, family, group, and couples therapy; experience in conducting alcohol and substance abuse assessments.
**Work Schedule:** The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, comprising 9 hours daily between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break. There are no on-call duties, nor are weekends or holidays required.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited institution. - **Internship/Residency:** Completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology. -
**Experience:** A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience as a Clinical Psychologist within the last 3 years. -
**License:** Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any state. -
**Life Support Certification:
** Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). -
**Security Clearance:** Must have the ability to obtain a Government background investigation/security clearance.
