**Position Summary:**
This job involves working with computerized tomography (CT) scanning machines. You will prepare, monitor, and operate this advanced equipment to help doctors see inside the body for diagnosis.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. Set up and check the CT machine for each patient. Safely move and position patients by following safe lifting practices. Use tools to keep patients still if needed.
2. Make sure the patient is correctly identified. Ask patients about any allergies and important health information.
3. Prepare and give contrast dye through an IV to patients when needed, based on what the doctor orders.
4. Create and store images of each patient's scan for records. Save all studies for future reference.
5. Help organize the daily patient schedule with the work technician.
6. Keep the image quality high by following department rules. Daily check and maintain the equipment to ensure it works well, following set protocols.
7. Handle the digital images by capturing, storing, transferring, and making copies as needed.
8. Watch for any allergic reactions in patients and respond correctly. Be ready to help in emergencies, including providing basic CPR if necessary.
9. Follow safety rules and regulations to protect yourself and the patients, as required by state health guidelines.
10. Keep your work area clean and make sure necessary supplies are stocked.
11. Teach new staff members when needed.
12. Assist doctors and specialists during special imaging procedures while using the skills expected in the department.
13. Review and record important patient details and clinical information to help the doctor with diagnoses.
14. Keep records according to regulatory requirements.
15. Take part in quality assessments and improvements at the medical center or department. This includes setting goals, collecting and reviewing data, and putting plans into action.
**Qualifications:** - At least 2 years of experience
- Required - Experience with Phillips equipment
- Required - Experience as a traveler - Preferred
**Certification Requirements:**
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
