**CT Technologist**
The CT Technologist performs a diverse range of computed tomography scans for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. This role involves the application of principles, theories, and techniques of computed tomography to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable scan results.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Proficient in utilizing personal computers and various software applications relevant to the position.
- Competent in operating essential office equipment.
- Demonstrates effective interdepartmental communication skills and interacts proficiently with the public.
- Upholds confidentiality and exhibits the ability to think critically and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Adheres to regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the designated work location.
**Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Degrees**
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program in Radiology.
- Possession of a current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT), or the ability to obtain such certification within six months.
- Current ARRT and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) certifications.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) provided by the American Heart Association.
- Completion of the Image Wisely pledge certificate within 30 days of hire, with annual renewal by January 30 thereafter.
- Completion of the Image Gently pledge certificate within 30 days of hire, with annual renewal by January 30 thereafter.
- An associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
**Experience**
- One (1) year of prior experience in Computed Tomography is preferred.
**Certification Requirements**
- ARRT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA)
**State License Requirements**
- License to practice in Oregon.
