The CT Technologist is responsible for performing imaging procedures in an efficient and safe manner. This role encompasses a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals.
**Accountabilities:**
- Accurately performs imaging examinations and procedures while applying critical thinking skills judiciously.
- Identifies emergent situations and responds appropriately.
- Maintains precise customer medical records and ensures the confidentiality of all medical information.
- Utilizes imaging and hospital computer systems proficiently.
- Engages with physicians, team members, customers, and their families in a professional manner.
- Has authorized access to medications pertinent to job responsibilities.
- Accepts additional responsibilities as assigned to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives.
- The team member is obliged to demonstrate proficiency in the skills enumerated in the relevant position skills list.
- The team member is also responsible for maintaining proficiency in their skills, including improvement as necessary, and for updating any additional or new skills specified in the appropriate position skills list.
**Compliance:**
- Recognizes and adheres to legal, regulatory, accrediting, and procedural requirements relevant to their area of responsibility.
- Safeguards the privacy of customers and team members by accessing customer and/or team member information solely as necessary to fulfill job duties.
- Reports violations or areas of concern to the supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer through established communication channels.
**Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology - Required.
**Experience, Knowledge, and Capabilities:**
- A minimum of one year of CT-specific experience - Required.
**Licensure and Certification Requirements:**
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist - Required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS; only required for Cath Lab) - Required.
