**Job Responsibilities:**

 

Shifts - Mostly Night , 40 hrs/week , 12 hour shifts Puget sound and another city

6 months with possibility of extension 

 

- Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations and procedures that necessitate the utilization of contrast agents. - Manage patient care during complex procedural examinations.

- Operate portable X-ray machines and various X-ray equipment.

- Address minor equipment malfunctions for both X-ray and CT modalities.

- Adhere to oral and written instructions while effectively communicating with patients, visitors, and organizational personnel.

- Scan and label documents accurately, ensuring that images are promptly provided to radiologists

. - Comply with all policies and procedures related to radiation protection and dose reporting.

- Support fellow technologists as required to maintain productivity levels.

- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including initiating intravenous access and administering contrast agents, when applicable.

**Job Requirements:**

- Hold valid certifications in Radiologic Technology (RT) in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and necessary state licensure.

- Possess the capacity to function as both a CT Technologist and an X-ray Technologist, conducting examinations on patients across all age groups.

- Be responsible for coordinating and executing daily procedures, which includes prioritizing tasks, completing examinations, and managing all requisite documentation with minimal supervision, which necessitates independent judgment.

- Demonstrate proficiency in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and perform daily quality assurance (QA) processes.

- Exhibit effective communication skills complemented by exceptional patient care abilities.

- Operate all technical equipment competently within the diagnostic modality.

- Employ radiation protection and shielding materials accurately to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.

- Remain current on all vaccinations mandated for hospital employment and successfully complete required health screenings, including drug testing and background checks.
