**Job Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate knowledge of the proper utilization and maintenance of computed tomography (CT) equipment.
- Conduct CT examinations and procedures requiring the administration of contrast agents.
- Manage patients effectively during complex CT procedural examinations.
- Follow oral and written instructions with precision and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues within the organization.
- Ensure proper scanning and labeling of documents, promptly resolve quality assurance issues, and expedite the release of images to radiologists.
- Adhere to all radiation protection policies and dose reporting protocols.
- Assist fellow technologists as necessary to maintain operational productivity.
- Support the radiologist during imaging procedures, including initiating intravenous (IV) access and administering contrast agents, when applicable.
**Job Requirements:**
- Hold certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT), specializing in radiography (R), computed tomography (CT), and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Possess the ability to perform as a CT Technologist, conducting examinations for patients across all age groups.
- Exhibit competency in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and perform daily quality assurance processes.
- Display effective communication abilities and excellent patient care skills.
- Function proficiently with all technical equipment utilized in the diagnostic modality.
- Properly employ radiation protection and shielding materials to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date vaccinations as required for hospital employment and successfully pass any necessary health screenings, including drug testing and background checks.
