Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients in emergency situations
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans
  • Provide patient education and discharge instructions
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay abreast of the latest practices in emergency medicine
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

Requirements

**July to September**

**Expected Start Date:** As soon as possible; there are vacancies to be filled in July and August. Candidates must possess a valid Oregon license.  

**Provider Type:** Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

**Daily Shift:** Standard shift of 10 hours  

**Expected Duration of Assignment:** 3 months   *

**Schedule/Shift Hours:** 10-hour shifts available in the following time frames: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, or 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM   '

*Setting:** Inpatient   **If Inpatient, Number of Beds:** 60   **Call Requirement:** None  

**Rounding or Admissions:** No requirements for rounding or admissions   **Patient Demographics

:** All populations   **Average Patients per Day:** Approximately 230  

**Required Procedures:** Standard procedures including suturing and incision and drainage  

**Required Clinical Activity in the Last 24 Months:

** Applicants must provide documentation evidencing the provision of emergency medicine services within the preceding 24 months.  

**Licensed Candidates:** Candidates are required to possess a valid Oregon license at the time of presentation.   **Required Certifications:

** Candidates must present proof of prior Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; recency of certification is not a requirement.  

**Electronic Medical Record System (EMR):** EPIC  

This facility is actively seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for locum tenens support as they address an urgent need.
