Requirements

**Position Details for Emergency Medicine Coverage**

- **Specialty**: Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)  

- **Coverage Period**: July to September 2026   -

  - **Shift Schedule**: Available shifts from 7 PM to 8 AM or 8 AM to 7 PM; candidates should specify available days in their presentation  

- **Type of Privileges**: Hospital-based  

- **Work Setting**: Outpatient and inpatient (Emergency Department primarily operates as outpatient)  

- **Patient Demographics**: Diverse populations  

- **Patient Volume**: Approximately 41 patients per day  

- **Required Procedures**: Standard emergency room procedures  

- **Staffing**: Solo practice, though day shifts may have Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assistance  

- **Electronic Medical Record System**: EPIC  

**Certification Requirements**:  

- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine  

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)/Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)  

**Licensure**:   - Candidates must possess an active Oregon license at the time of application  

**Clinical Activity Requirement**:  

- Documentation of clinical activity within the last 24 months is required, including case logs that demonstrate the provision of emergency medicine services reflecting the scope and complexity of requested privileges.
