**Job Summary:**

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will create and enforce rules that make sure the workplace is safe and healthy for everyone.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

This job also includes being the Training Manager. You will identify what training employees need, make special training plans, and teach different skills to help them do their jobs better. You will check how well the training is working, manage budgets, and keep updated on trends related to aviation maintenance training.

 It's important to have an A&P license and a lot of hands-on experience in aviation maintenance.

 You should also know the FAA rules about maintenance training and be able to lead hands-on training sessions either on the aircraft or in the workshop.

**Duties/Responsibilities:**

- Check the workplace for safety, health, and environmental dangers.

- Create and carry out rules and schedules for regular safety inspections.

- Develop health and safety procedures for the entire company.

- Prepare and schedule training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other important topics.

- Watch to make sure safety rules are being followed.

- Write reports after inspections to note any findings.

- Ensure that material safety data sheets are kept up-to-date and easily available.

- Keep records of any hazardous waste and employee exposure, as required.

- Perform other related tasks as needed.

**Required Skills/Abilities:**

- Strong knowledge of environmental rules and regulations.

- Great skills in analyzing and solving problems.

- Good writing and speaking skills.

- Excellent organization and attention to detail.

- Skilled with technology and tools used for environmental inspections.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

*Education and Experience:**

A bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus. 

Five years of related experience is preferred.
