**Controller Overview**

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all dimensions of financial stewardship, which encompasses accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. This role also involves the formulation and enhancement of internal controls and procedural frameworks.

- Demonstrates robust organizational and managerial capabilities.

- Possesses a strategic vision while meticulously attending to processes and methodologies required for achieving operational efficiency.

- Proficient in personal computing, with advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheet software, including database management and query tools.

- Utilizes sophisticated accounting methodologies to assess current practices for financial transaction recording, and advocates for solutions that optimize both time and cost efficiency in accounting operations.

- Stays abreast of evolving trends and advancements in the field through continuous education, including reading pertinent literature and participating in relevant conferences and seminars.

- Maintains a regular, reliable, and punctual presence at the designated workplace.

- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and is a collaborative team contributor.

- Possesses foundational knowledge in accounting principles and statistics sufficient for the preparation of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations, typically obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

- Employs strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a range of internal stakeholders and external service providers.

- Demonstrates competencies in systems knowledge and computer use to ensure high data integrity for all financial and statistical information generated or disseminated from accounting systems.

**Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Preference for CPA certification or a Master’s degree.

**Experience**

- Typically requires 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years within a hospital setting.
