**Job Details and Tasks:**

The main responsibilities of the Health Care Worker (HCW) include:  

- Helping connect patients and their families to community services and other government agencies.  

- Assessing how patients and their families are doing emotionally and socially. After understanding their needs, creating and putting into action a plan to help them. This plan should recognize their problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills, and the help they require. This work is done with the patient, their family, and the treatment team.  

- Conducting evaluations to understand the emotional and social needs of different people from various backgrounds and providing them with treatment.  

- Using knowledge of medical and mental health conditions, disabilities, and treatment methods, including understanding common illnesses, medications, and medical terms.  

- Applying different treatment methods while working with individuals, families, and groups facing various mental health and social challenges to reach treatment goals.  

- Providing counseling or therapy to individuals, groups, couples, and families while staying within the limits of their licenses or certifications.  

- Offering advice and support to other staff about the emotional and social needs of patients and how these issues can affect health and treatment compliance.   - Joining case review meetings, research studies, or other necessary professional activities at the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).  

**Work Schedule:**  

- Monday to Friday, working 8.5 hours a day between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.  

- No work on weekends or holidays.  

**Minimum Qualifications:**  

- Education: Must have a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).  

- Schooling: Must graduate from a School of Social Work that is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).  

- Experience: Must have at least one year of experience as a Social Worker in the last three years.  

- License: Must hold a current, valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  

- Life Support Certification: Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.  

- Security: Must be able to pass a government background check/security clearance.
